Christmas collection for homeless people

With the weather turning decidedly wintry in the lead up to Christmas, the Severe Weather Shelters (SWEP) managed by Brighton and Hove Council opened up early for people living on the streets in Brighton and Hove. As part of McLaren’s commitment to support the local community in Brighton, the team at the Edward Street Quarter development have started up a regular collection of breakfast food items to be distributed to organisations in Brighton who are working with people identified at risk who have been emergency housed in night shelters and hostels.

Team McLaren did their bit for the local community and organised a collection to raise money to buy lots of festive foods, including mince pies, stollen, chocolates, Christmas cake and biscuits to give out to the folk whilst they were staying in the shelters over the Christmas period. The Team raised a whopping £150 so Jess, (pictured below) was able to deliver some really festive treats to the guys in the shelters to help make their Christmas a little more cheerful.
